Dream Journal Entry: 6th October 2003

I find myself walking toward a park holding a folding table in my right hand while concealing a revolver in my left hand. As I reach a hill overlooking the park I set up the table and attempt to load the revolver with a bullet. However, loading the gun is harder than i thought and I dont believe I ever manage it. I pretend to fire the gun into the park when I become aware of a block of flats behind me. As i look up there is around four or five people looking down at me. I decide to fold up my table and walk quickly into the park. Continue >>

Dream Journal Entry: 15th September 2003

I find myself walking along an empty street with a red haired girl. It is early in the morning and I am on my way home although I appear to be lost. We wander for a while until we reach a garden with a swimming pool. In order to continue on our journey we must walk around the edge of the swimming pool. The girl goes first.

As the girl makes her way around the pool i soon realise that the water is infested with crocodiles. It is therefore not long before the crocodiles become aware of our presence and move toward the girl. I turn my head for a moment and notice a young child standing behind me. I quickly grab the child and use him/her as bait to distract the crocodiles. The child quickly disappears and I find i am now holding a childs pram. I throw the pram into the pool allowing the girl to escape.

Dream Journal Entry: 14th June 2003

I was walking in my home town with no purpose when a poster for an exhibition by TK Kim grabbed my attention. The poster was mainly white with a portrait of a woman painted brightly with all the colours of the rainbow. I looked closely at the details of the exhibition and noticed that it was being held in a graveyard just up the road. I therefore made my way toward the graveyard. When I arrived I was surprised to see that all the gravestones had been replaced by sculptures created by TK Kim. I walked around the graveyard admiring the sculptures.

27th Jan 2003:

I am sitting in the backseat of a car that is travelling along George Street in Edinburgh. The cars speed is excessive although no one in the car seems to mind. In the distance I can see a black van reversing out of a drive. The crash is inevitable and I brace for impact. I now find myself standing on the deserted road beside the black van. Continue >>

Lucid Dreaming Techniques

The simplest technique for inducing lucid dreams I have found is to look for your hands while you are in the dream state. This is based on a technique described in the book “Journey To Ixtlan” by Carlos Castaneda. Every night while sitting or lying in my bed I clear my mind completely and place my hands out in front of me. I concentrate on my hands and repeat the affirmation “Later, when I am dreaming, I will look at my hands and realise that I am dreaming.” Continue >>

17th Jan 2003:

I am playing an electric guitar as I walk toward my grandmother’s old house. When I reach the house there is a black and white dog barking at me. I walk past the dog and into the house. In the bedroom I discover a plastic bag full of old records. As I look through them I become interested in a 12″ record by ‘The Stone Roses.’ The record is entitled ‘Bees’ and is a song that I know the stone roses have never recorded. I therefore become aware that I must be dreaming but wake up. Continue >>

Dream Journal Entry: 16th January 2003

I am walking through a building where I reach two large doors. I push them with all my force and they open onto Beath playing fields. On the grass is an extremely large bookcase full of encyclopaedia’s. I stand still and watch two women, both of which are bare breasted. They are standing on top of the bookcase attempting to thread a balloon over some telephone wires. One of them calls out to me: “Thread the balloon for me while I put some clothes on.” I agree although it was more difficult than I envisaged. Therefore when she returns she orders me to start again. Dream Journal Entry: 14th January 2003

I walk into my exhibition in Edinburgh and I become aware that I am naked from the waist down. However, this does not seem to faze me in the slightest and no one seems to notice. I had heard that two reporters were visiting my exhibition and would later write a review in a newspaper. I quickly scan the room and catch sight of them in the distance holding a white clipboard and taking notes.  I overhear one of them state to the other: “This is most definitely my favourite one.” Continue >>

2nd Jan 2003:

I found myself living in student halls and sharing a room with five others, some of which I knew. As it was the end of semester we were being evicted to make way for 500 elderly people who were taking over the university. As I packed away my belongings I looked outside the door. There was a queue of around a dozen elderly people who were waiting for me to leave. The man at the front of the queue smiled at me and took out his false teeth and used them like a yo-yo. Continue >>
